Latest News

HMRC have confirmed that they have reviewed 30,000 self-assessment tax returns for 2016/17. These have been reviewed where HMRC have considered that there was a risk the HMRC tax calculator incorrectly computed the individuals tax liability because of a known exclusion.

HMRC has confirmed that this only affects any tax returns that are electronically filed.

Any taxpayer that has been affected will receive a new SA302 calculation, together with advice explaining the next steps to take by the end of November 2018. Please note HMRC will not send a copy of the SA302 calculation to the agent.

If you have received a revised SA302 calculation we recommend that you review this to make sure that this error has been rectified.

Please contact the office on 01623 420269 if you have questions regarding your SA302 calculation.
