Overdue Accounts at Companies House

Companies House have now started to send out statutory notices regarding overdue accounts. The letter will be sent to the registered office and will have a deadline of 14 days to submit the accounts. If the accounts are not going to be submitted within 14 days then you will have to notify Companies House by email enquiries@companieshouse.gov.uk or alternatively by letter to Companies House, Crown Way, Cardiff. CF14 3UZ.

Failure to notify Companies House and not meeting the 14 day deadline may result in the directors being prosecuted, receiving a criminal record and a potential unlimited fine. Companies House will also start the striking off against the company to take them off the register
