How healthy are your books & records?

HMRC demand that you keep your paperwork and bookkeeping records in good order with adequate referencing to original documents. In fact, you may be excluded from certain VAT schemes such as the second-hand margin scheme if your records are inadequate. This would mean a much larger VAT bill each month and possibly lower profit margins.

Here at Stopfords (Mansfield) Limited we offer a periodic check of your accounting records. This can either be monthly, quarterly or simply a one-off check so you have peace of mind throughout the year.

We will advise you on best practices and even give you tips and advice along the way. We may even be able to increase your input VAT claim, reducing your VAT liability and saving you valuable pounds for your business.

We will tailor the visit to include as much or as little as you wish. Choose from the following examples:

  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Card & Paypal Reconciliations
  • Other control account reconciliations, such as net pay and PAYE/CIS
  • VAT return check and submission
  • Or just tell us what you need.

Should you require a full bookkeeping service we can offer that too. For an informal chat or to arrange a quote please call Karen on 01623 420 269 or email karen@stopfords.co.uk
