Corporation Tax Payments Still Due 9 Months from Year End
On 26 June 2020, the Government passed legislation to extend the usual Companies House filing deadline.
Where the normal deadline for filing of yearend accounts would fall between 27 June 2020 and 5 April 2021 inclusive, this has be automatically been extended by three months.
This means that the filing deadline for private company and LLP accounts will be extended to 12 months after the accounting reference date.
However, HMRC have not extended the date for Corporation Tax Payments, this continues to be 9 months and 1 day after the company’s yearend, therefore, we suggest that records are still provided to us ASAP so that your Tax payment can be calculated and no interest accrued for late payment.
You can find more information on the extension at GOV.UK.
