The taxable benefit for your zero emission (fully electric) cars is to fall to 2% of list price from 6 April 2020.

For hybrid electric cars with C02 emissions below 50g/km the benefit percentage will depend on how far the car can travel on electricity only as per the table below.

Hence as we get closer to April 2020, if you have a vehicle in this category, we will need this information in order to ensure the benefit you are taxed on is correct.

We’re not sure where this information will be recorded, it may be on the V5 for newer registered vehicles but will certainly not be for older ones, so you may need to contact relevant dealers in order to obtain this information.
